About My Work

Meet the Director
I’m interested in directing as a way to make ideas and feelings unavoidable.

Film is a multifaceted, all-encompassing sensory medium, and no project is ever the same as the one before. Each one becomes part of a continuous learning cycle. I learn what works, what doesn’t, and how to push the next idea further. With new technology and new stories emerging every day, it’s a process that never settles.

My background in music and dance shapes how I build work. I think in rhythm, in pacing, in tension. How something pulls you in, holds you, and then either resolves or doesn’t. The structure matters just as much as the image.

I’m drawn to making people feel something, especially what they don’t usually express. The shared discomforts, the unspoken fears, the tension just under the surface. I’m interested in pushing those moments further, building toward anticipation, unease, or release in a way that lingers with a viewer.

I don’t want to make work that people passively consume. I want to make work that interrupts them, sticks with them, and makes the idea impossible to ignore.

REFERENCES

Alyson truly stands out for her dedication to craft, her unique artistry, a keen intelligence, and strong work ethic.

In her first years as a film student, Alyson has already demonstrated an artful eye for composing a shot. She has great instincts for working with actors and dancers enhanced by an ability to direct the camera so shots support, not upstage their work. These creative strengths exist in concert with her burgeoning sense of the business side of film.

She is truly a talented budding professional.
